OFFICE-SPECIFIC APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS – PLEASE READ CAREFULLY

Newark Law Student Applicants: The Newark Office generally completes hiring for law school interns the term before the internship/externship.  Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis throughout the year with offers often made well in advance of the term for which the student is applying. Those interested in a Fall externship with our Newark office should submit applications by June 30; Spring externship applications should be submitted by October 31; Summer internship applications should be submitted by January 31 or through the PILC Fair.  If a student’s grades have not been released by the deadlines noted above, the student should supplement their application when they become available.  Our office will contact those selected for an interview on a rolling basis or, at the latest, within 1-2 weeks of the above deadlines.  Hiring is generally complete within thirty days of the above deadlines per term.

Newark Undergraduate Student Investigator Applicants: The Newark undergraduate investigator internship program is offered during the summer, not during the fall or spring semesters.  This internship is designed for individuals majoring in Criminal Justice or those with a strong interest in defense investigations.  The application window runs from November 1 through January 31 each year. Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis, and selected candidates will be contacted for interviews in February.  Please note that space is limited.
